Fall is around the corner, but advance permit dates aren’t over yet. September has a few notable releases for late-year trips.
Notable deadlines
- September 5: Zion backpacking (including the Narrows) reservations open for trips starting between October 1 and December 31.
- September 15: Olympic backpacking reservations open for trips starting between October 16, 2026 and May 14, 2027.
California
Inyo — overnight
