Hey all,
Fall is around the corner and it’s the best time of the year to backpack! The temperatures are cooler, mosquitoes are gone, and parks are less crowded. Many parks are still releasing last-minute permits (see below), and you can get notified if we find openings for sold-out permits.
Notable lotteries in September
Zion National Park’s backpacking permits (including The Narrows) are released on September 5 for all dates between October 1 and December 31.
California
